Description

The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a part-time Receptionist. This position will be regularly scheduled to work 25 hours per week. The normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:30pm, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The Receptionist is responsible for performing assigned administrative and related clerical support functions. 

 

Duties

• Answer phones and greet incoming visitors

• Receive and follow administrative and receptionist instructions from supervisor and use independent judgment to solve problems as they arise.

• Operate telephone/paging system in order to answer calls, determine the nature of the calls and direct the callers to appropriate individual or department in a timely and courteous manner.

• Give directions/information to visitors, clients, employees, sales representatives, etc.

• Sort, distribute and route incoming mail and faxes to appropriate departments and/or personnel.

• Order, stock and maintain inventory of office supplies (includes carrying boxes, bending and lifting).

• Place service calls for office equipment and assists employees in their operations as necessary.

• Prepare and distribute monthly event calendar

• Maintain NH Food Bank staff telephone directory and birthday list.

• Perform other administrative duties, as required such as copying, typing, maintaining reception area etc.

 

Requirements

· Proven experience in clerical/reception position in a busy office. 

· High School Diploma or G.E.D.

· Valid driver’s license, vehicle in good working condition with proper safety equipment, proof of insurance, and a clear driving record

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel. 

· Ability to use various pieces of office equipment (computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.)
