Final Report on Charitable Gaming Laws to be Released Nov. 1
Nonprofits Encouraged to Review Potential Impact on Revenue
The Commission to Study the Effect of Recent Changes Made to Charitable Gaming Laws, including the Newly Authorized Historical Horse Races is expected to release its final report on November 1.
The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits recommends that nonprofits who sponsor or would like to sponsor gaming activities review the report and follow related gaming legislation.
“New Hampshire communities rely on nonprofits to deliver essential services and many of these organizations sponsor charitable gaming activities to provide much needed revenue,” noted the Center CEO, Kathleen Reardon in a letter to the Commission.
The final report is expected to include the recommendation of a new Commission to look at the selection of sponsoring charities as well as revenue levels.
