About the Job

Description

The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team (40 hours/week) as a Production Prep Cook with the Recipe for Success Program (RFS). The Production Prep Cook supports the Production Chef and Chef Instructor with food preparation, volunteer/student coordination, administrative duties and outreach functions including catering and food truck events.

Duties

· Assist Culinary Team in food production. 

· Assist Production Chef in the preparation of partner agency meals.

· Aide in guiding volunteer opportunities within the kitchen related to bulk meal production and cleaning as needed.

· Help maintain temperature logs and inventory records daily. 

· Assist with the development and management of outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor. 

· Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas and equipment.

· Pick agency meal orders and maintain inventory control.

Requirements

· High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of experience.

· ServSafe Manager’s Certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

· Ability to complete Forklift Driver Training/Certification within twelve (12) months of hire.

· Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment, preferred.

· Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, preferred.
