Description

The CareGivers, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is looking for a Part Time Office Assistant (25 hrs/wk) to join our team of dedicated professionals. Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday from 8:30am-2:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch).

The CareGivers helps homebound elderly and disabled people in the Greater Manchester and Nashua areas maintain their independence and dignity through the spirit of volunteerism. We provide rides to medical and other essential appointments for those who cannot access reliable transportation, deliver food to those unable to shop on their own, or simply provide emotional support for individuals who otherwise would live amid isolation or loneliness.

Our clients often live alone on fixed incomes and without other means of services. Because of CareGivers, their wishes to remain living at home are preserved, their health and wellness improve and they positively engage in the world around them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, screen callers and direct calls to staff
  • Verify information, such as income, for client intake
  • Handle calls from physician offices advocating for the acceptance of client
  • Troubleshoot client or volunteer concerns and notify appropriate staff
  • Enter requests for rides into software and verify appointment inquiries
  • Other administrative duties, as required such as copying, typing, data entry, maintaining reception area etc.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of previous office experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) 
  • Strong customer service skills and an ability to multitask and prioritize work projects
