Description

The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team (40 hours/week) as a Production Cook with the Recipe for Success Program (RFS). 

 

The Production Cook supports the Production Chef and Chef Instructor with food preparation, volunteer/student coordination, administrative duties and outreach functions including catering and food truck events

Duties:

  • Assists Culinary Team in food production. 
  • Oversees food production and cleaning tasks completed by volunteers and the Culinary Job Training Students at the direction of the Chef Instructor to ensure food safety and quality standards are met. 
  • Coordinates accurate meal delivery. 
  • Maintains temperature logs and inventory records daily. 
  • Assists with the development and management of outreach and events including catering and food truck as directed by the Chef Instructor. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of all culinary department work areas. 
  • Complete other tasks as assigned. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Manager’s Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire. 
  • Ability to complete Forklift Driver’s Training within 12 months of hire. 
  • Food prep/cooking knowledge and experience using knives and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Experience or training in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
  • Ability to work with individuals of varied backgrounds, be flexible and have personal integrity
