Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our non-profit team in the Member Engagement Advisor role.

Responsibilities include building, supporting and managing internal and external relationships to drive behavior change through positive experiences. The Member Engagement Advisor works with Members, Participants and the Member Services Team to support the Director of Member Engagement in benefit plan administration, compliance, vendor management, enrollment, well-being programs, and communications.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in the administration of employee benefits. Strong competence in a variety of technology programs including Outlook 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Other important qualifications include strong analytics, excellent presentation skills, and a desire to excel!

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

I. Member Care

  • Responsible for solving escalated issues related to eligibility, enrollment, COBRA, and Retiree Administration.
  • Accountable for Member Care compliance with state and federal regulations including reporting, etc.
  • Support Member Care in the preparation and delivery of training programs for Members.
  • Ensures Member Care functions are carried out following the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Oversee documentation for Member Care procedures.

II. Group Relations

  • Responsible for solving escalated issues related to coverage and claims.
  • Provides support for Group Relations Team initiatives and priorities.
  • Collaborates with Group Relations Team to identify and present health care cost containment strategies and resource materials for members and participants.
  • Supports Director of Member Engagement in creating and conducting effective proposal presentations and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.

III. Communications and Marketing

  • Collaborates with Marketing and Communications to support strategies.
  • Works closely with Marketing Communications Specialist and Group Relations Specialists to review monthly communications to employers and employees and provide additional feedback and insight where appropriate.

IV. Operations

  • Keeps Director of Member Engagement informed about Member Services activities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Accountable for annual Open Enrollment (July 1 and January 1) logistics and compliance through detailed project management.
  • Monitor and report on vendor management of benefit solutions (i.e. cancer, diabetes, musculoskeletal, etc.) including quarterly reporting, annual performance measurements, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Contributes to development of Member Services Team’s annual objectives consistent with the Board approved Strategic Plan.
