About the Organization
Family Promise serves a unique population of average working families single fathers, single mothers, two-parent families, and veteran families. The program provides these families with the immediate needs of food, clothing, and shelter. The professional staff provides case management, intense financial planning, and budgeting education, career development, job search assistance, employment, and housing resources, and parenting, and family advocacy. A total of 86% of the families completing our program have remained stable and self-sufficient, returning as fully engaged professionals and participants in their communities. Over 50% of our families buy their own homes upon graduating from our program. Children are successful in school and participate in sports and healthy social activities. Ensuring that the needs of homeless children are addressed provides an avenue for children to participate in education, and social interaction as their primary focus, making for a more skilled and educated workforce in the future.
Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire relies on volunteerism to support administrative, operational, family service, and advocacy programs. We seek to partner with organizations to enhance volunteer experiences to benefit families in the transition towards independence and self-sufficiency. We rely on our donors and advocates to support us in our vision of a community in which every child and family has a home, a livelihood, and the foundation on which to build a better future.
