HAVEN, formerly known as A Safe Place and SASS officially merged in July of 2015 becoming the largest violence prevention and support services agency in NH. We are dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and improving the well-being of children and families. Preventing abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence can lead to healthier and more secure children and adults. Our mission is to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking and to support and empower women, men, youth and families to heal from abuse and rebuild their lives. Through a 24-hour client service support program and a Safe Kids Strong Teens K-12 Prevention education program, this organization provides services to individuals and families throughout Rockingham and Strafford Counties.

HAVEN Development and Outreach Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position collaborates with the Development and Outreach team in the management of all aspects of fundraising including campaigns, appeals, events, communications, prospect research and donor stewardship.

This position works with the team in the management of outreach and volunteer programs and is responsible for creating consistent, compelling marketing/messaging utilizing HAVEN’s brand standards in communicating mission, services, and impact with the goal of engaging donor and community support.

DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Development Director and Associate to effectively interact with donors, community leaders, and HAVEN’s volunteer leadership to achieve increased public understanding and support of the organization and its mission.

•    Supervise the Development Associate and utilize and oversee the maintenance of the donor database.
•    Execute strategies to increase corporate, including corporate sponsorship, and foundation giving.
•    Solicit, cultivate, and steward current and potential donors.
•    Oversee logistics and provide support and leadership for all agency events.
•    Serve as primary staff lead on all fundraising events e.g., KAOBB and Changing Lives signature event, 
•    Collaborate with Development Director in leading the Development Committee.
•    Provide support to the Development Director in the successful execution of the organization’s capital campaign.

OUTREACH and MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Supervise the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator and oversee implementation of a comprehensive and innovative Community Outreach plan.
•    Manage HAVEN’s unique brand standards and ensure consistency across all marketing and communication platforms.
•    Design and oversee production of all print and various media communications (newsletters, brochures, annual impact report, annual appeal(s) and annual sponsorship package.)
•    Oversee HAVEN’s social media presence. 
•    Responsible for organizational communications and management of e-communications platform.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS: Proven experience in marketing and communications. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Strong computer proficiency: experience with donor and data base management software required. Fluency in design applications required.

PROFESSSIONAL KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of and/or experience in human services field a plus.
Expertise in conducting best practices of various social media platforms in order to maintain and
grow audience.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:  Must be an initiative-taker with strong organizational, communication/presentation skills; have the ability to interact with and relate well to others and possess the ability to work independently. Must have a keen eye for detail and have a collaborative spirit. High energy and a passion for HAVEN’s mission is essential.

Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required. Completion of Criminal and Driver’s Record Check required for hire.
