MCRC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Based Development Organization with a mission of assisting low income individuals, new Americans, people with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency, families receiving public assistance, and/or individuals facing multiple barriers with achieving their financial and personal goals. Programs are designed to assist in improving the overall standard of living by providing access to employment, education, life skills training, information, referrals, care coordination and other supportive services including notary, copying, scanning, faxing and access to public computers – equipped with the internet, resume writing software, typing tutorial, on-line career exploration and MSOFFICE.
For over two decades, MCRC has been committed to providing residents of Greater Manchester with effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality of service that has been representative of our cross-cultural populations, ethnic traditions, preferred languages, personal obstacles, and other communication needs.
Programs are designed to promote the development of individuals’ work-maturity competencies, emotional growth and social development through the acquisition of appropriate skills, knowledge and attitudes.
About the Job
The Manchester Community Resource Center, Inc (MCRCnh) is working in partnership with the State of NH Bureau of Employment Services to provide individuals that receive State cash assistance or post-TANF services with access to individualized workforce development and career advancement activities. Services are designed to assist the participants in acquiring the skill set needed to enter the workforce, to re-enter the job market, to improve employment opportunities, to attain educational credentials, to reduce obstacles by effectively utilizing community resources, and to provide financial literacy for those transitioning from public assistance with individualized workforce development activities.
This position is funded 100% through a contract with the State of NH – Department of Health and Human/Division of Economic & Housing Stability Services/Bureau Employment Services (BES) – NH Employment Program.

The Workforce Developers play a crucial role in assisting participants in their journey toward upward economic mobility and self-sufficiency.
This list outlines the responsibilities, qualifications, and services provided by the Workforce Developer, ensuring a holistic approach to supporting participants' journey toward upward economic mobility.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Job Readiness/Workplace Competencies:
- Provide opportunities for participants to develop soft skills - including effective communication, critical thinking, team building, work ethic, conflict resolution, time management, negotiation, and stress management.
- Assist participants with developing pre-employment competencies such as creating a resume, learning various job search methods, and conducting mock interviews.
- Offer activities using a variety of approaches – in-person, virtual, one-on-one, self-directed, and group sessions.
HiSET/GED, Industry Specific Training, Educational/Credentialing:
- Conduct interest inventory, vocational assessments, and skills appraisals.
- Assist participants with career exploration.
- Assist and support participants in attaining appropriate educational and/or career focused credentials.
- Collaborate with various funding resources, such as WIOA, VR, NHES, NHEP, and Community Colleges.
Employment Opportunities:
- Outreach to local businesses matching participants with suitable employment opportunities.
- Provide job leads and introductions to potential employers.
- Promote On-the-Job Training, internships, apprenticeships, and unsubsidized employment with local businesses and nonprofit organizations.
- Provide on-boarding support to ensure a seamless transition to employers, participants, and their families.
- Monitor participants’ progress at the workplace, internship, or apprenticeship.
- Establish employment pipelines with employment agencies, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
Job Retention Services:
- Provide job retention services and communication based on the participants’ preference.
- Promote advanced workforce development training to ensure wage progression and upskilling to reach participant’s’ desired career goals.
- Conduct ongoing employer outreach to facilitate genuine work experience opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, social work, or related field.
- Equivalent life experience and relevant work experience considered.
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, job development, adult academic services, career development, educational enhancement services, and/or other employment-related services preferred.
- Familiarity with industry specific training options and/or local job market.
- Working knowledge of Windows/MS Office software required.
- Must agree to a criminal background check.
- Must have a valid NH driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of the low-income population and ability to work with cross-cultural populations required.
WAGES AND FRINGE BENEFITS:
Full time position (37.5 hours/per week) ** Monday – Friday ** $53,684/Annually ** employer paid health and dental insurance ** 12 paid holidays ** paid Personal Time Off (PTO) ** employer matched retirement program
