West Central Behavioral Health is seeking applicants for the Supported Employment Coordinator position serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Supported Employment team. This includes hire, onboard, supervise, coach, train, and manage performance.
The Supported Employment Coordinator participates in the development of program activities, problem-solve issues and system barriers impacting the delivery of services, network with local businesses, collaborate with DHHS staff around program fidelity, and attend to the day-to-day operations of the Supported Employment program.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate all aspects of the supported employment programs to include supervision of Supported Employment Specialist.
· Develop and train staff in workforce competencies; ensure program and staff meet all goals.
· Ensure benefit/entitlement information is disseminated in a timely manner.
· Provide ongoing communication and education to clinical teams in regard to supported employment services.
· Function as a Supported Employment Specialist for assigned consumers.
· Provide direct Supported Employment Services, illness management skills, employment planning, job development services and employer support.
· Serve as a link to relevant community stakeholders through education, advocacy, and support to ensure a strong network of care is maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, rehabilitation, counseling, social work, nursing or the equivalent education and work experience.
- Master’s level degree in rehabilitation counseling or related field is preferred.
- 2 years’ related Human Services experience
- Supervisory experience
