Are you a brave and fearless leader?  Do you have the skill to handle conflict and unpredictability with ease and professionalism?  Waypoint's Homeless Youth and Young Adult Program of Manchester, NH needs a Full Time Supervisor for the Youth Drop-In Resource Center.  We are searching for a driven, passionate community-focused individual who can build positive relationships and wants to bring positive change to the lives of local youth and young adults. The Site Supervisor will work closely with the Program Manager to oversee our Youth Resource Center Drop-In Center in Manchester, NH.  In this leadership role, you will be responsible for creating a space that is safe and welcoming for all youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability ages 12-22 and that fosters respect and non-judgment. In addition, the Site Supervisor will work with community partners and experts to bring services, resources, programming, and events appropriate for the population into the Youth Resource Center space. The goal of the Youth Resource Center is to ensure young people have their basic needs met and build trusting relationships, reduce and prevent sexual exploitation, and improve safety and community awareness. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services Field
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience (lived experience and expertise are looked upon favorably
  • Experience with vulnerable populations, outreach, sexual health, and/or substance use is a plus
  • Must have a passion for working with young adults.
  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills with the ability to have uncomfortable conversations
  • Professional with the ability to develop a positive relationship
  • High Level of time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated, Passionate, bold, courageous, and able to think outside the box
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and fill in as needed in the Drop-In Center as part of coverage.
  • Computer Skills and Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Previous experience with Office 365 and SharePoint is desired.
  • Following confidentiality policies regarding client-sensitive information, Waypoint Technology Policies, and adhering to Waypoint’s Hybrid Model.
  • Successful criminal check, No history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and liability insurance coverage.

Abilities Needed:

  • Ability to respect clients from a variety of backgrounds and situations.
  • Ability to keep good records and write treatment plans.
  • Ability to manage complex cases.
  • Ability to travel within the state to provide home visits with possible transportation of clients and/or family to and from.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, Leadership, and the Team for Program changes or case-related client care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and work with the Site Supervisor to develop opportunities for community partners to provide within the Emergency Shelter
  • Represent Waypoint's Emergency Shelter response in the community - with media, community partners, city leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Recruiting, orientating, and training new staff.
  • Develop and maintain the Shelter staff schedule to ensure that there are at least 2 staff present at all hours the Emergency Shelter is open to youth.
