Waypoint's Homeless Youth and Young Adult Program of Manchester, NH needs a Full-Time Shelter Supervisor. The Shelter Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Young Adult Emergency Shelter. This includes but is not limited to setting a tone and culture that is Positive Youth Development focused, emotionally and physically safe, and meets the needs of homeless youth and young adults (YYA) in a crisis-oriented, low-barrier manner to the best of our ability. The right candidate will be a positive advocate or coach to the shelter staff team by facilitating regular individual supervision with each staff member including reflective supervision, ongoing skill-building, annual evaluations, ongoing support, and professional development planning.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services Field
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience (lived experience and expertise are looked upon favorably
• Strong Communication and Leadership Skills with the ability to have uncomfortable conversation
• Professional with the ability to develop a positive relationship
• High Level of Organizational skill
• Self-motivated, Passionate, bold, and courageous
• Computer Skills and Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Previous experience with Office 365 and SharePoint is desired.
• Following confidentiality policies regarding client-sensitive information, Waypoint Technology Policies, and adhering to Waypoint’s Hybrid Model.
• Successful criminal check, No history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and liability insurance coverage.

Abilities Needed:

• Ability to respect clients from a variety of backgrounds and situations.
• Ability to keep good records and write treatment plans.
• Ability to manage complex cases.
• Ability to travel within the state to provide home visits with possible transportation of clients and/or family to and from.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, Leadership, and the Team for Program changes or case-related client care.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and work with the Site Supervisor to develop opportunities for community partners to provide within the Emergency            Shelter
• Represent Waypoint's Emergency Shelter response in the community - with media, community partners, city leaders, and stakeholders.
• Recruiting, orientating, and training new staff.
• Develop and maintain the Shelter staff schedule to ensure that there are at least 2 staff present at all hours the Emergency Shelter is open to youth.
