JSI Research & Training Institute (JSI) is a global nonprofit dedicated to improving lives around the world through greater health, education, and socio-economic equity for individuals and communities. Within JSI, the Health Services Division evaluates and strengthens the public health and publicly funded health systems in the United States.  JSI's New Hampshire office is called the Community Health Institute,  as it holds the National Network of Public Health Institute designation as the State's public health institute.

The Program Coordinator position is designed to provide a breadth of exposure to multiple areas of domestic public health for a recent graduate or early career professional looking to launch a career in public health, health policy, or a related field. For this role, we are looking for someone who embraces opportunities for growth and thrives in roles of responsibility with quick turnaround times. All staff members work across multiple projects simultaneously with a high-level of individual accountability, discretion and independent judgment. This dynamic position provides an opportunity to contribute to health and equity through applied technical assistance, data-driven research and evaluation, systems strengthening, and policy change.

  • Education + Experience: Bachelor’s degree (NO Master’s-level or PhD-level candidates, please)
  • Interest in domestic public health and health policy
  • Commitment to advancing health and racial equity
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple work streams with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative, hybrid team.
  • Ability to conduct and synthesize data analysis and research from multiple sources
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate to diverse audiences on a variety of platforms
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google products (Drive, Gmail, Docs)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms (Zoom, Slack, Mural, Alchemer, etc.)
  • Preferred:
    • At least one year work experience in public health or publicly-funded health care
    • Proficiency in languages other than English
    • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysis
    • Data visualization and/or graphic design skills
    • Proficiency with website content management (Drupal) or email marketing platforms (MailChimp)
