Future In Sight is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing support to individuals and families living with vision loss. In collaboration with the Adult Vision Rehabilitation Manager, the Social Worker will lead and expand our counseling program, including teletherapy offerings.

Role Overview: The LICSW will educate individuals, families, and community members about available services and provide counseling to improve adjustment to vision impairment and blindness, promoting independence and safety.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
  • New Hampshire LICSW license.
  • Experience, confidence, and skills to provide social work services independently.
  • Ability to travel during the workday.
  • Openness to telehealth opportunities for blind and visually impaired clients.
  • Knowledge of insurance coding and billing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments and counseling focused on individual and family adjustment to vision impairment and blindness.
  • Promote therapy services and education to individuals, families, providers, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with providers and community partners to ensure smooth service provision and integration into clients' lives, including developing and reviewing Master Treatment Plans.
  • Provide guidance in cultivating self-advocacy skills.
  • Coordinate and lead group counseling and support efforts for clients, caregivers, and families.
  • Offer consultations, public education, and in-service training as required.
  • Participate in Future In Sight programs, including committees, volunteer programs, board/agency events, rehabilitation conferences, staff/team meetings, and public education programs.

General Requirements:

  • Adhere to the core values and ethical principles of a professional social worker.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough client assessments, records, reports, and schedules in Future In Sight’s database.
  • Analyze and manage client records to ensure smooth service provision.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office tools and other office technology, such as video conferencing platforms.

  • Perform all duties professionally and respectfully.
  • Maintain positive relationships, demonstrating tact and sensitivity with clients, consumers, board members, volunteers, vendors, and staff.

Schedule:

  • Full-time exempt position (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (20-25 hours per week). Per Diem may be considered as well. Please inquire.
  • This role operates partially out of the Future In Sight Concord, NH office and may require travel to clients' homes or community locations. Hybrid work-from- home arrangements may be considered once proficiency with practices and systems is established.
