Founded in 1982, Cross Roads House provides emergency and transitional shelter to homeless men, women, and children in the Seacoast area. We provide homeless families and individuals with basic necessities, as well as the tools and guidance they need to return to permanent housing.

Title: Housing Liaison Reports To: Program Director
Position Summary:
To develop a working network of property owner and property management partners in order to match individuals and families served by Cross Roads House with affordable and sustainable housing. The Housing Liaison will serve as an expert in the housing market and in landlord relationships with Cross Roads House. The position includes representing CRH with housing-related community organizations and networks and helping to develop marketing information for landlord recruitment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-going community outreach and networking to various housing property owners, landlords and community partners to explain Cross Roads House affordable housing needs and the services provided that prepare and support CRH residents for successful tenancy.
- Work with the Program Director and Director of Development and Communications to develop marketing materials containing success stories and landlord testimonials geared toward property owner/manager partner recruitment.
- Conduct and write-up interviews with former CRH residents in housing and landlord partners to be used in marketing and social media posts.
- Track and report efforts to recruit property owners/managers to partner with CRH to offer apartments residents.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups in the community, including Home for All, the Workforce Housing Coalition, NH Housing Action, housing developers and affordable housing providers.
- Establish and regularly communicate with a pool of landlord partners in order to gather information about pre-advertised apartment availability for CRH residents.
- Work with shelter and housing stability case managers to identify housing needs for individuals and families and help to match them to available apartments.
- Support the shelter and housing stability case manager relationships with landlord partners
- Recommend and support improvements in program design and operations
- Participate in local and regional collaborative efforts and represent Cross Roads House as requested
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications and Physical Demands:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work or relevant field
- At least three years of post-degree property management or case management experience working with individuals and families experiencing poverty or homelessness,
- Current driver’s license, vehicle and insurance
- Eligibility for employment in the United States
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, indoors and outdoors
- A criminal background check will be conducted
