We are looking for a motivated self-starter to reinvigorate and lead Infinity Peer Support in a new direction.
About the Organization: Infinity Peer Support (IPS) is dedicated to providing an alternative, peer-oriented approach to mental health wellness and recovery for adults eighteen and older who reside in Strafford County, New Hampshire.
We are an adult educational wellness center offering a welcoming, judgment-free organization in which participants can find their own strengths that support a better, healthier life. All of our programs are free-of-charge.
Position Summary: The Executive Director leads the organization -- managing its operations, and carrying out its mission -- according to the strategic direction set by the board, while creating an environment that fosters peer support and respects the dignity and safety of all members, staff and visitors.
IPS is peer-led and peer-driven. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with all stakeholders: staff, members, board, community organizations and the Bureau of Mental Health Services.
We are seeking a creative, supportive individual who cares about people with mental health conditions. Many of our members also experience substance use disorders and homelessness.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Hire, supervise, mentor and coach staff as well as volunteers.
- Promote programs that impact many members (trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, Intentional Peer Support, Action Planning, Whole Health Action Management, etc.).
- Develop a yearly budget that complies with board priorities and the Bureau of Mental Health Services, federal block grants and other funding-source guidelines.
- Build partnerships with other agencies to expand available resources and maximize IPS’ budget. Examples may include: Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, Community Partners, SOS Recovery Community Organization, Greater Seacoast Community Health, Great Bay Mental Health, etc.
- Seek and write grants to broaden our existing funding base.
- Maintain website and newsletter. Use social media to increase website traffic and agency visibility.
- Effectively address agency challenges, including conflict resolution and crisis de-escalation, and determine the proper course of action in a way that complies with by-laws, house rules, state regulations and state law.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mental health lived experience as well as demonstrated ability to manage own mental health wellness and recovery,
- Familiarity with non-profit management, supervision, mentoring and coaching,
- Background in financial, budgeting, administrative and/or marketing functions.
- Familiarity with grant writing or fundraising, and
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or two years of experience in a mental health field or human services.
Special Qualifications:
- Intentional Peer Support certification preferred,
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders; and
- Demonstrated experience inspiring a team in a co-learning environment.
Full-Time/Part-Time: This is a full-time (40 hours) salaried position with a flexible schedule to accommodate candidate needs and community events.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range is $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer an excellent benefits package including paid time off, health and dental insurance benefits and retirement contribution.
Work Location: Office is located in Rochester, NH.
