About the Job
Job Title: Inn Staff
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Purpose:
Provide direct care for dogs while residing at the Inn.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning of crates
Feeding and medicating dogs
Bathing dogs
Playing outside with dogs and/or walking dogs
Provide observations about the health and behaviors of dogs, escalating issues as needed
Set up/break down of crates in preparation for arrival of transport
Laundry
Sweeping/mopping of quarantine area with each shift
Following quarantine protocol
Process adoptions.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a high level of interest in the welfare, health and proper handling of animals. Ability to restrain and handle animals of all sizes. Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly. Ability to work independently as well as be a team player.
The ability to effectively communicate with adopters, volunteers and staff as well as interact with the general public in a courteous and professional manner is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to bend, crawl and reach into crates to clean, lift dogs and move equipment. May be required to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 30 per week
