Description

The Director, Human Resources, is responsible for managing all aspects of the agency’s Human Resources, including:

  • Manages recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new employees.
  • Advises managers and employees on all Human Resources matters, to include benefits, employment laws, GCSCC employment policies, hiring and supervision of staff, and employee terminations.
  • Leads agency compliance with government requirements and completes required reports related to compliance.
  • Researches and recommends employee benefits.
  • Ensures all employees comply with GCSCC’s HR policies.
  • Works with managers to administer employee leaves.
  • Participates in strategic planning, develops HR-related metrics, and reports to the Executive Director on progress toward goals.
  • Recommends compensation grades agency-wide.
  • Oversees employee recognition and service award programs.
  • Ensures employees complete mandatory training.
  • Ensures performance evaluations are completed as required.
  • Attends meetings of the Board of Director’s Personnel Committee, and other meetings and training as required.
  • Responsible for communicating to, and gathering feedback from, employees. This may be in the form of agency emails, Intranet, newsletters, surveys, and in-person meetings.
  • Presents HR-related training sessions.
  • Assists in agency planning and evaluation.
  • Assists in the formulation or revision of agency policies, procedures, and manuals.
