Pro Portsmouth, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the vitality of Portsmouth's arts, culture and history through events and community collaboration.
We produce a number of the Seacoast’s largest Downtown events: Children’s Day, Market Square Day Festival & 10K Road Race, Summer in the Street and First Night® Portsmouth.
About the Job
In partnership with the Executive Director, the Coordinator participates in the preparation of Pro Portsmouth events: Children’s Day, Market Square Day.
The primary role of the Coordinator focuses on the Pro Portsmouth event volunteers.
This individual recruits, and supervises volunteers for Pro Portsmouth events. This includes organizing all volunteer information, creating schedules, and communicating with volunteers, both existing and those new to
Pro Portsmouth.
The position is largely administration leading up to an event, but the coordinator does need to lift items (approx. 25 lbs.), spend the bulk of an event day outdoors, walking the event, etc.
