About the Organization
Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention (MCVP) is the domestic and sexual violence and stalking crisis center for the 44 towns of the Monadnock region. MCVP is a member program of the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and a Monadnock United Way agency.
MCVP’s mission is to respond to domestic & sexual violence & stalking in our community by providing a care & support system for survivors and to work to end interpersonal violence in all forms through primary prevention, community engagement & collaboration.
About the Job
The MCVP Compassionate Care Advocate is a new, grant-funded position effective through September 2027. This position works in close proximity with staff at the Cheshire Medical Center to develop a trauma-informed program for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking who seek medical care at the hospital. The advocate provides direct empathic support services as well as training and educational programming to stakeholders, including hospital personnel and community members.
