Who We Are: The Littleton Community Center has served the community since 1919, providing programs and meeting space for a variety of profit, non-profit, and civic functions—serving various aspects of life in and around Littleton. Housed in an historic Queen Anne style mansion, the Center was dedicated as a memorial to the “...services of its soldiers and sailors in the war against Germany” and it’s purpose was “...the advancement of health, training for service, and the social, oral, recreational and general welfare of Littleton and surrounding communities.”
Job Title: Center Manager - Part-time
The Center seeks an Outreach Coordinator/Center Manager to expand its impact in the community by increasing program offeriings and building usage while maintaining current operations.
    • Part-time salaried position (approximately 25 hours per week) requiring a flexible schedule
    • Some aspects of the job can be performed remotely (booking events, taking calls)
    • Hourly rate is $20/hour
Job Goals
    • Raise awareness and promote use of building
    • Increase community support (usage, donations, support for warrant articles)
    • Improve financial viability by increasing attendance and donations
    • Maintain relevance to current users while reaching out to other age and interest groups
    • Maintain and improve the Center’s reputation as a desirable venue
Job Responsibilities
Outreach
    • Reach out to the community ro raise awareness of the Center and its offerings
    • Facilitate events to promote the Center in the community and to potential users
    • Create an overarching image that presents the Center in a positive light
Programming
    • Organize programming to support more community neeeds
    • Encourage partnerships with other groups to sponsor or present programs
Publicity and Marketing
    Work with the Board and local marketing consultants to:
    • Create and maintain website and Facebook content
    • Promote the Center’s programs, the contributions of its volunteers, and upcoming events through news               releases and social media
Coordinate Building Use and Operations
    • Be a warm and welcoming “face” for the Community Center
    • Respond to phone and email requests, send information to potential users, schedule use of facility, and               collect required paperwork and payments from users
    • Meet users to show them the building and provide access for their functions
    • Keep records of the number of attendees, obtain contact and demographic information from users, and               maintain a database of users and supporters
    • Check condition of building after events
    • Keep building tidy with light cleaning as needed (empty wastebaskets, keep bathrooms clean, vacuum               public areas)
    • Be the contact for building tenants, help to provide access to vendors for services and maintenance
Necessary Qualifications and Skills
    • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work independently, prioritize, and multitask with strong
      organizational skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent customer service and social skills, able to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds               and welcome them to the Center
    • Energetic and outgoing, eager to establish new relationships in the community
    • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office applications
Useful Qualifications and Relevant Experience
    • Experience setting up and conducting meetings and or phone calls to establish relationships and 
      partnerships that led to increased referrals
    • Experience creating and/or managing successful community programs
    • Marketing and public relations experience, including press releases, social media, email campaigns, 
      and attendance at community events
    • Sales experience helpful
    • Experience in fundraising and creating strategic relationships with donors
Location and Hours
    • This is a part-time position. Schedule is flexible but applicant must be available to work around the needs           of the Center’s users as required, including occastional weekend and evening work
    • Hourly pay is $20
    • Hours may vary from week to week, but they are expected to average 25 hours per week
    • The Center is located at 120 Main Street in Littleton, NH
Work Requirements and Environment
    • Applicant will be expected to have reliable daily transportation to the Center
    • Ability to climb (multiple flights of) stairs, and lift 30 pounds
    • Office space will be provided
