About the Role

This is an exciting role to work within the recovery community of Strafford County and the seacoast area of southern Maine. The primary goal of the Assistant Executive Director is to support the mission of the Triangle Club and work with the Executive Director to assist individuals in setting and obtaining personal recovery-oriented goals. The Assistant Executive Director will support individuals in becoming more independent and take a more active role in the community via the support services that the Triangle Club offers.

The Assistant to the Executive Director is a full-time position providing a variety of administrative support services for the day-to-day operation of the Triangle Club. The successful candidate will have knowledge of recovery resources, such as support services and various pathways to recovery.   

What you may do:

  • Talk with individuals about their achieving their self-directed goals
  • Assist individuals with connecting to community supports including; health insurance, housing, food assistance, mental health services, as well as family and legal resources
  • Advocate with other agencies and community health networks on behalf of members
  • Expand community knowledge of the Triangle Club via social media, simple website updates and other community outreach activities
  • Support the goals and events of the Triangle Club which may include fund raising special events, charitable gaming, wellness activities, and other recovery specific events
  • Assist with the daily operations of the Triangle Club in Dover, New Hampshire and, at times, our second location in Kittery, Maine
  • Support growth of the fundraising function via communications and other assistance as needed by the Executive Director

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience interacting with individuals and families seeking recovery related services, and knowledge and experience directing people to those services.
  • Must be detail oriented self-starter with a broad range of skills including working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new computer-based programs. 
  • Excellent communication skills with people and in writing
  • Soft skills for working well in possibly emotional or higher stress situations
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma OR GED
  • Two years direct experience in the recovery field. 

Salary is negotiable based on experience
