ProLiteracy works to change lives and communities through the power of literacy in the belief that a safer, stronger, and more sustainable society starts with an educated adult population.
ProLiteracy provides adult literacy programs across the country with support through the following funding opportunities:
- National Book Fund and Mobile Learning Fund
These funds provide adult literacy and basic education programs with educational materials to help teach adults to read.
- Literacy Opportunity Fund
This fund provides general operating grants of up to $6,000 to nonprofit organizations that provide literacy services directly to students.
Eligible Applicants: Nonprofit organizations and other educational programs
Application Deadlines:
National Book Fund: March 15, annually
Mobile Learning Fund: none
Literacy Opportunity Fund: January 3, April 1, July 1, and October 1, annually
