Star Island Corporation

Star Island Corporation's mission is "To own and maintain Star Island and such other property as the Corporation may hold or acquire, as a center for religious, educational, and kindred purposes consistent with the principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ."

Our vision is is to create on Star an environment that frees all who come to renew spiritually, explore matters of consequence, and gain knowledge about the world as it might ideally be.

We were incorporated in 1915, though summer conferences have been happening on Star Island since 1897.

We provide a service to individuals and families who are looking for a truly enriching experience, in fellowship with new friends and old, in one of New Hampshire's most treasured places.

We have expanded our summer offerings, which include natural history, arts, international affairs, yoga, meditation, contradancing, and more. We have UU, UCC, and LGBTQ-themed weeks. Basically, we have something for everyone!

We have developed significant discount programs for new attendees for our 2013 programs.

We are on the threshold of implementing a comprehensive solar power solution for the island (we currently generate our own electricity with diesel generators).

In 2012, we launched the "Green Gosport Initiative" which, among other accomplishments, reduced our overall wastestream by 40%.
