Vital Communities

Vital Communities is a nonprofit organization based in White River Junction, Vermont, that brings together citizens, organizations, and communities to take on issues where an independent voice and regional approach are essential. We focus on finding solutions to the challenges facing the Upper Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. Working together, we make our region a better place to live, work, and play every day.

Our programs focus on energy, transportation, local agriculture, local economy, civic engagement, and sense of place. We also host more than 20 Community Email Discussion Lists, convene a Corporate Council representing the region's major employers, and bring together the region's town and city managers in a Municipal Working Group.
