Red River Theatres

Red River Theatres is a 3-screen, non-profit cinema located in downtown Concord, New Hampshire.  It shows the best of current independent and foreign films, classics, documentaries and cult favorites.   Red River also promotes and supports the work of local film artists in order to increase public access to new and local works in film and video.  Red River actively cultivates cultural and economic growth for the capital city and beyond by attracting artists, collaborative partners, patrons and tourists. 

Red River opened in 2007 after a 7-year effort and a capital campaign that successfully raised .8 million from the local community.   Services We Provide:  Each year Red River screens approximately 150 films, hosts dozens of filmmakers and film events and averages over 1,000 tickets per week.   The Concession Stand offers unique snacks, including local pastries, sandwiches and chocolates; beer and wine.   Red River has a small visual arts gallery space between its two big theaters and works by local artistss are exhibited monthly.  Red River Theatres is member-supported and committed to affordability and broad access.  

In January 2011, Yankee Magazine named Red River Theatres one of the five best cinemas in New England.
