Director of Information Services

NH Charitable Foundation

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is a community foundation that allows local donors to take an organized approach to giving, and to better understand the needs in their region. Of the more than 700 community foundations nationwide, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is among the oldest and largest.

Position Summary
Leads the tactical and strategic components of Information Services technology required to conduct the day-to-day business of the Foundation.  Facilitates governance model across the organization to ensure cross-departmental technical needs are supported.  Responsible for the management of the Foundation’s infrastructure, cyber security functions, core software applications (hosted and on premise), disaster recovery capabilities and phone communications.  This position manages hardware and software research, as well as implementations, with the help of outside consultants on an as needed basis; is responsible for the technology budget for the overall Foundation.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications

• A combination of education, certifications and/or relevant work experience equivalent to the needs of the role.
• Knowledge of PC based computer networks; hardware and software; extensive experience with relational database architecture; management, research, and analysis; deep exposure to software development methodologies; strong Microsoft Office experience; and direct experience with database application configuration, security profiles and functional features
• Strong computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, and database applications; ability to monitor and use social media
• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to listen to technical questions or concerns and respond effectively in language that is understandable and accessible to all staff
• Ability to be flexible and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Ability to be self-directed, as well as work in teams
• Demonstrated technical writing and training skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, intellectual curiosity
• Belief in the mission and purpose of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation
