Volunteer NH and NH Center for Nonprofits Partner on High Impact Volunteer Engagement Program

WASHINGTON - Today, Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) announced that Volunteer New Hampshire (VNH) has received a grant through the Volunteer Generation Fund of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency for volunteering and service programs. Volunteer NH will use the Volunteer Generation Fund grant to increase volunteer engagement statewide in New Hampshire, expand volunteer opportunities, and build the capacity of nonprofits to work with volunteers to achieve high-impact results.

Peter Smith Joins Monadnock United Way As Campaign and Donor Relations Manager

Peter Smith has joined Monadnock United Way (MUW) as Campaign and Donor Relations Manager. He has lived and worked in the Monadnock Region since 1984. A graduate of Keene State College, Peter comes to MUW from Marlboro College in Vermont where he was Director of Annual Giving.

HNH Foundation Awards $234,202 to Improve the Health of New Hampshire Children

The HNH Foundation awarded $234,202 in grants in spring 2017. The awards benefited ten health-related initiatives and projects at non-profit and community organizations across the state.  The HNH Foundation made one-year grants to address the health of New Hampshire’s youngest and most vulnerable children and their families.

Impact Monadnock Merges with Monadnock United Way

Impact Monadnock, an early childhood development initiative in the Monadnock Region, merged with Monadnock United Way (MUW) on July 18, 2017. Founded three years ago, Impact Monadnock (IM) was created in response to research indicating that increasing support for early childhood development can have a powerful impact on the region’s long-term success in areas as broad as child well-being and the ability to graduate and earn a living in this region.
