Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K Road Race

Presented by: Lamprey Health Care

Celebrating National Health Center Week

Lamprey Health Care's Annual 5K Road Race offers a fun, family event for all ages and abilities. Walkers, strollers and baby joggers are welcome in the race. For children too little to run a 5K we offer a Kids Fun Run. There are top runner prizes, and all runners are automatically entered in a raffle for a Chrome Book generously donated by Walmart. With music, refreshments and a free Kona Ice for all runners, it is a truly fun way to start a summer day.

The race is part of the United in Wellness Race Series sponsored by Exeter Hospital. Runners are encouraged to bring a food donation for the Newmarket End 68 Hours of Hunger Program to promote healthy nutrition in the community. All who donate will receive a complimentary grocery tote. The list of need food items for End 68 Hours of Hunger is available at lampreyhealth.org/annual-5k-road-race.

Proceeds from the Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K will support programs and services dedicated to the healthy development of Lamprey Health Care’s pediatric patients. Supported programs include Reach Out & Read Early Literacy Program, School-Based Dental Program, and Baby Steps, an Early Childhood Development and Screening Program.

The Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K is held in conjunction with National Community Health Center Week, honoring those community health centers that provide access to affordable, high quality, cost-effective health care to medically vulnerable and underserved populations. America's Health Centers now serve over 24 million people, including over 17 million with incomes at or below federal poverty.

Date: Saturday, August 12, 2017 - 8:30am to 10:00am
