Facilitator

Betsy McNamara
Principal, Senior Consultant
Full Circle Consulting

With over twenty years of nonprofit fundraising and campaign management, Betsy has raised more than $10 million for community investments that have improved the lives of low-income and disabled populations, constructed community arts facilities, and secured underdeveloped farmland from future development.

Designed for both novice and experienced grant seekers alike, the NH Grants Institute is a comprehensive and interactive 3-day workshop—from Tuesday, August 1, to Thursday, August 3—that covers organizational readiness, pre-grant planning, grant identification, strategy, relationship development between grantor and grantee, proposal writing, collaborative grant development, the review process, and forging effective relationships with funders.

Workshop participants will learn from experts in the field and hear from the funders themselves how to make the most of the opportunity to win grants.

Luncheon panels provide an excellent opportunity to network with NH funders. Panel topics include:

  • The Process: How Foundation Culture Informs Decisions
    • Charles Goodwin, Cogswell Benevolent Trust
    • Michael Rayder, Jr., TD Charitable Foundation
    • Deborah Schachter, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation
  • What Great Proposals Look Like
    • Dan Heying, Citizens Bank
    • Melina Hill Walker, Endowment for Health
    • George Hunton, New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority
  • Stewardship: The Funder-Nonprofit Relationship
    • Paulette Faggiano, Eversource Foundation
    • Sue Fulton, Endowment for Health

Presented in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Northern New England Chapter.

NH Grants Institute will be held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on August 1 through August 3. Registration is for all three days.

Date/Time: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 - 9:00am to 4:00 pm
