About the Organization

Community Crossroads is a 50(c)(3) not for profit corporation serving  individuals with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions and their families from birth to elder years. We have been in existence since 1979 serving eleven towns in southern New Hampshire but have recently expanded some of our services throughout the state. We are a conflict free case management agency and subcontract all direct services to 22 other non -profit and for- profit corporations.

We are designated by the state of New Hampshire as an Area Agency for developmental services. As such, we are responsible for service coordination; family support ; Medicaid billing; and quality assurance to individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders. In addition, we are a licensed case management agency under the Choices for Independence program serving elders and other adults with chronic health conditions. We are also a Partners in Health site serving children and adolescents with chronic health conditions. Ancillary programs include Representative Payee services and Oral Health coordination. In total, we serve approximately 1,600 individuals and their families.

Our offices are located in beautiful Atkinson, New Hampshire, just over the Massachusetts border in close proximity to Interstates 93 and 495.

HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

Community Crossroads is currently recruiting for the ideal candidate who can demonstrate excellent leadership skills, establish organizational systems and a working environment that will facilitate the efforts of all Community Crossroads Inc. employees,  and promote effective and efficient record keeping in accordance with applicable labor laws, and state/federal regulations. 

 

Key functions of this position:

  • To develop, maintain, and administer a robust benefit package that aligns with financial and regulatory requirements;
  • To work with department heads and management personnel to ensure compliance with agency policy and state and federal labor laws related to hiring, conflict resolution, and employee terminations.
  • To develop, update, and ensure state and federal compliance is met regarding agency policy and policy development;
  • To keep current with all applicable statutes and regulations which may affect policies and procedures within all administrative areas of Human Resources;
  • To serve as administrator of the agency’s Section 125 plan
  • Oversight of Employee Assistance Program (EAP), benefit negotiations and contracts, employee training, etc.  Responsible for compliance, adherence, and oversight of all applicable DOL and Worker’s Compensation requirements
  • To work with senior leadership, legal counsel, state and federal agencies and other appropriate organizations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to human resource functions and responsibilities
  • To maintain current and accurate records of all documentation including legal, business, personnel and volunteer
  • To ensure the HR department operates in a manner that is consistent with relevant local, regional, state and federal codes, standards, regulations and statutes.

 

Requirements of position:

  • Solid understanding of benefit planning and regulatory requirements regarding plan administration and understanding of business practices related to Section 125 and ERISA plans.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance statutes and regulations, state and federal labor law including Worker Compensation, FMLA, EEO, and DOL.
  • Must be able to prioritize work load and to adapt schedule to changing needs of the day,  work well under pressure, and be demonstrate superior time management skills
  • Must possess excellent conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiating skills

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in administration, at a senior management level.
