About the Job

Description
  • Answers communications (telephone, email, etc.) and refers requests to the Minister, Member Care or other appropriate committee chair.
  • Serves as principal receptionist for parishioners and visitors
  • Provides administrative and clerical services for the Minister and staff, including reports, agendas and correspondence essential to the ministry of the church
  • Forwards ELCA Annual Report to Council and the Pastor for data assembly. Fills out based on data submitted and files annual in January.
  • Produces, with the Minister, service folders for weekly liturgies and special services
  • Maintains the official parish register - recording baptisms, weddings, deaths and transfers. Submits for approval to Congregational Council
  • Maintain church building use and events calendar.
  • Maintains office supplies, equipment, and systems, and regularly back up computer data.
  • Manage building use, keep master list of building users, and maintain physical plant daily
  • Maintains an accurate, up to date congregation membership database.
  • Church Office Administrator position (20 hour work week)
  • Office Hours: Tuesday 10-2; Wednesday 10-2; Thursday 10-2; work from home - 8 hours
