Leadership New Hampshire Announces Selection of New Class

Statewide Leadership Program Begins 17th Year

Concord - Leadership New Hampshire, a non-profit organization which trains and builds a network of knowledgeable and engaged leaders for the state of New Hampshire, is pleased to announce its selection of 38 individuals who will comprise the Class of 2009. Edda Cantor, Executive Director, describes the incoming class as “an accomplished, energetic, and enthusiastic group of individuals from a variety of occupations, backgrounds, and regions of the state who are committed to becoming insightful future civic leaders.”

Well over 500 talented leaders from around the state have participated in this intensive ten-month program since its inception in 1992. This program is designed to increase civic awareness and involvement, and educates a diverse group of leaders who are passionately devoted to strengthening their communities and the state in which they live and work.

Each year’s class of Associates attends 12 seminar sessions which are held across the state. Each one to two-day session provides a thorough exploration of topics of significant import to New Hampshire, including examination of the criminal justice system, education, government and politics, health care, the environment, economic development, and the arts.

Leadership New Hampshire graduates include senior executives from many of the state’s most prestigious corporations, government officials, entrepreneurs, educational leaders, and non-profit executives.  These graduates serve on many corporate and non-profit boards, state commissions, and hold elective office.
