Manchester, NH - Attorneys Jim Merrill and Jason E. Cole of the law firm of Devine Millimet have been named to the Board of Trustees of the Manchester Historic Association. Board members serve on a volunteer basis to help the Manchester Historic Association achieve its goal of preserving the rich history and tradition of Manchester, NH.
Jim Merrill, an Associate with Devine Millimet since 2001, is now the Managing Director of Devine Strategies, a new strategic consulting subsidiary of the firm providing public affairs and issues management services for corporations, municipalities, public figures, and other organizations that may be faced with significant challenges that go beyond the legal arena. Jim is also on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals of New Hampshire, has been named one of New Hampshire's "40 Under Forty", and most recently served as New Hampshire State Director for Mitt Romney's Presidential Campaign.
Jason Cole has been an Associate with Devine Millimet since 2006 and is concentrating his practice in corporate, tax, transactional and non-profit law. Jason is also a Certified Public Accountant, giving him a multi-disciplinary background that has made him a strong and effective advisor for his clients on both business and legal issues. In addition to his new role with the Historic Association, Jason plays a role in the planning of the Annual Granite State Baseball Dinner and is an active member of the corporate fundraising team for New Hampshire Catholic Charities. Jason also devotes his time to the New Hampshire Republican Party and the Daniel Webster Council Explorer Post, a program which introduces high school students to the practice of law.
For 112 years, the Manchester Historic Association has worked to preserve the powerful history of Manchester through exhibits, tours, lectures, school programs, and family events. A non-profit organization, the Manchester Historic Association operates both a research center and the Millyard Museum that brings Manchester history to life on a daily basis. |
