Citizens Bank presents “Good Citizens” Awards to Two Nonprofit Leaders
Citizens
Bank recognized Cathy McDowell, executive director of the Family
Resource Center of Gorham, and Maureen Beauregard, president of
Families in Transition, with “Good Citizens” awards at the bank’s 12th
annual community relations celebration held Wednesday at Canterbury
Shaker Village. The bank presented the “Good Citizens” Awards
to McDowell and Beauregard for their leadership, vision, and commitment

Leadership Seacoast graduates its Class of 2008 Portsmouth
- Leadership Seacoast, a nonprofit organization that impacts Seacoast
communities through the development of capable leaders, recently
graduated its 20th class in an special ceremony held at The 100 Club.
The event, attended by more than 100 program alumni and community
leaders, featured New Hampshire House Speaker Terie Norelli (Leadership
Seacoast Class of 1995) as the evening's keynote speaker. Read more...
Citizens Bank Awards $10K to Families First  The
Citizens Bank Foundation, represented by Kate Burns, Seacoast Regional
Manager, recently awarded $10,000 to Families First Health and Support
Center for its “Removing Barriers Fund.” The fund provides translation,
transportation and prescription assistance to help clients take
advantage of Families First’s health care and family support services
and follow through on their health care providers’ recommendations.
Citizens has supported this fund since 2003, with four grants totaling
$34,000. Families First Executive Director Helen Taft accepted the
award.
N.H. Women’s Fund Receives $200k Gift The
Women's Fund of New Hampshire has received a $200,000 donation from an
anonymous woman as a result of the “Women Moving Millions” campaign,
which is aimed at inspiring six- and seven-figure gifts to women's

Junior Achievement receives $12,500 Grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation
The Bank of America Charitable
Foundation recently awarded Junior Achievement of New Hampshire a
$12,500 grant to support its programs in the Manchester schools. Bank
of America has supported Junior Achievement of New Hampshire for many
years in its efforts to provide inspiring and innovative economic
education programs to students in grades K-12. Among the programs Bank
of America supports through its funding are JA Dollars & $ense™,
afterschool programs for third, fourth and fifth graders at Beech

Center for College Planning Receives $20,000 Grant to Help Foster Youth Concord
- The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ Center for College Planning (CCP)
was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from the College Board’s Public
Service Outreach Greenhouse Grant program to encourage New Hampshire
