– The New Hampshire
Charitable Foundation's Monadnock Region announced grants of $109,000 to local
nonprofit organizations through its most recent competitive application grant
program. The grants were awarded to 12
nonprofit organizations serving all or a portion of the Region's 43-town
service area.
Grant
awards were made to the following organizations and programs:
The Milford Middle School received $12,000
to support after-school programs.
Home Health Care and Hospice of Keene received $15,000 to
support the continuation of their maternal health and Adult Day Care programs.
Monadnock Family Services of Keene received $15,000 to support their ARK program, which provides supervised
parental visitation.
Historical Society of Cheshire County in
Keene received
$10,000 to support key projects.
Lily Garden Child Care Center of Westmoreland
received $15,000 to support their infant classroom.
Cheshire YMCA of Keene received $15,000 to support their
strategic plan objectives.
Southern New Hampshire Services received
$3,000 to provide transportation for family field trips for the North
Peterborough Family Program.
The Orchard School of East Alstead received
$3,000 to provide training for staff to work with special needs children.
Contoocook Valley Transportation
Cooperative received $5,000 to develop a rideshare and informational
website for the Contoocook
Valley.
MAPS Counseling Services received $10,000
to replace obsolete systems.
The Carbon Coalition received $5,000to support local energy commissions.
Giving Monadnock received $1,000 for
the Monadnock Arts Collaborative Calendar project.
The New Hampshire
Charitable Foundation has been working to improve the quality of life in
