Director - Franklin Adult & Child Services

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Founded in 1963, Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization providing specialized behavioral health services in central New Hampshire. Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time director to provide oversight and leadership to a program that serves children, youth and families as well as adults living with severe and persistent mental illness.  The Franklin Program offers an array of services and interventions designed to promote recovery and effective illness management.  The preferred applicant would have a strong clinical and administrative skills, experience with the NH public mental health system, and would seek to take an active role in staff development.  Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and Board of Mental Health Practice license.
  • Current NH license is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year management experience in behavioral health, 2 or more years of management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, communication, and planning skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop and manage all aspects of Riverbend’s Franklin program serving children, youth and families, as well as adults with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Participate in state and local planning processes to expand and promote access to services and strengthen agency position in the system of care
  • Assure high quality clinical services, including evidence-based practices, that comply with quality standards of care and regulations
  • Assure financial viability of program by developing and managing the program budget and leveraging funding opportunities
  • Oversee the recruitment, retention, professional development and work satisfaction of a knowledgeable and motivated staff
  • Increase public awareness and support of program services via marketing and sustaining strong working partnerships with the community and other agencies
  • Supervises Franklin’s Adult Clinical Team
