Council Services Coordinator

National Safety Council of Northern New England

~The National Safety Council of Northern New England is a membership-based, 501-C3 non-profit organization, and a local chapter of the National Safety Council. We work hard to make all of our services available at the highest quality with the lowest possible rates. Our members include businesses and organizations throughout Northern New England including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and parts of Massachusetts.

Throughout its history, the National Safety Council of Northern New England has continued to expand its programs and services to provide the latest training, webinars, networking events, safety materials and other resources to support and strengthen safety programs in business, industry and the local community.

The Council's five primary focus areas include Workplace Safety, Distracted Driving, Teen Driving, Prescription Drug Abuse, and Safe Communities America.

The National Safety Council of Northern New England (NSCNNE) is in search for a dynamic full time (40/hr. wk.) Council Service Coordinator to work from our Concord, NH office to support our program training and support with Membership and Conferences, along with some Tradeshows.

NSCNNE is a leader in providing quality, affordable Safety and Health Training, Annual Safety Conferences and Safety Products in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Our Occupational Safety, Defensive Driving and First Aid/CPR /AED programs are offered monthly in a variety of locations throughout the 3 states. The Council Service Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of training programs, membership and conference support.

  • Written / verbal communication ability
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Computer skills: technical experience using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn other computer software.
  • Have an Associate’s degree or equivalent 5 years work experience in a similar field
  • Pass a criminal history check
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Primary duties include:

  • Answering incoming calls and emails
  • Coordinating training programs: scheduling and instructors
  • Processing registrations for training programs
  • Room setup and breakdown for training programs / AV needs
  • Assisting Instructors to make sure they have av equipment and paperwork
  • Processing training programs paperwork for invoicing
  • Supporting membership and database
  • Supporting Conferences
  • Supporting tradeshows (will require occasional travel)
  • Making occasional deliveries or pickups
  • Creating and sending e-letters marketing upcoming events
  • Scheduling room rentals
