Occupancy Office Coordinator

The Occupancy Office Coordinator is responsible for performing tasks common to all Occupancy Specialists. Primary responsibilities include marketing properties, processing mail, ordering office supplies, creating and delivering tenant notices, handling applicant phone calls, accompanying Occupancy Specialists and/or maintenance staff on inspections, scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, processing bad debts, and mailing, reviewing, and tracking applications.

  • Prioritization: Effectively arranges goals, tasks, and projects in order of greatest importance to achieve success

  • Written Communication: Ability to clearly convey messages, ideas, and expectations through the effective use of written correspondences (letters, e-mail, etc.)
Responsibilities:
  • Initial Handling of Applications
  • Familiarity with SCS Housing properties and programs.(We will train.)
  • Familiarity with LIHTC and HUD Housing Programs (We will train.)
  • Follow Fair Housing Laws
  • Handle Applicants/Tenant Relations Effectively – Communicate with applicants/tenants in a manner that is productive, respectful, and professional
  • Filing accurately and consistently
  • Strong Computer Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, willingness and able to learn property management software
  • Driver's License – Maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a dependable car
  • Process Bad Debts – Submit bad debts to online communications for collection
