Development Associate - Annual Giving

If you are a flexible, team player with a sincere interest in philanthropy, we are looking for you.  In this entry-level positon, the Development Associate will report directly to and provide administrative support to the Director of Annual Giving as well as to the Annual Giving team. 

As a key member of a dynamic team focused on managing the programmatic direction of all Annual Giving practices, you will assist with the development and execution of the Annual Giving plan, including but not limited to scheduling/recording meetings and vendor relations.  In addition, you will perform data quality checks; maintain mailing lists; assist with Annual Giving stewardship events; facilitate a creative review process for direct marketing and internal appeals by soliciting feedback internally and communicating with external contractors regarding meeting deadlines; collaborate with gift processing team to manage donor acknowledgement content and insert schedule, assist with expense and budget tracking, approving invoices and entering data into Donor Perfect; and schedule meeting/appointments, update calendars and field routine phone calls. 

Successful applicant will possess a Bachelors; Degree or equivalent with one or more years’ development experience.  Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong proofreading ability and superb organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail required along with excellent computer literacy skills using Microsoft Office Products.  Enthusiasm and appreciation for a fast-paced, professional environment necessary.  Ability to multi-task and meet several deadlines at once a must!
