Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time A/R Collection Specialist in our Concord location. The position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
As an AR Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of functions necessary to help maintain a reasonable A/R balance for Medicaid Managed Care capitation payments.  You’ll be part of an Accounts Receivable team that develops successful relationships with health insurance companies as well as Riverbend program staff to ensure services are processed and paid in a timely manner.  This position will work with the Medicaid A/R Collection Specialist to assist with various duties.


• High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year’s experience with Accounts Receivable processes including keying and follow up with third party payers required.
• Relevant experience in medical or health-related agency is required.
• Familiarity with Medicaid including but not limited to State benefit eligibility, coordination of benefits and benefit limitations.
• Experience with third party insurance preferred
• Experience with computerized accounts receivable system and Excel is preferred.


• Provides administrative support to ensure payments are accurately posted to client accounts, timely follow-up with insurance companies and program staff.
• This position is also responsible for opening and sorting mail received from the State of NH pertaining to clients’ Medicaid coverage.
• Processing returned mail for incorrect mailing addresses
