Admissions Clinician

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time therapist to work in our Children’s Intervention Program (ChIP), providing therapy to children and families.
 
As an Admissions Clinician, you will be responsible for the admissions department of the Children’s program including the clinical and operational oversight of referrals, risk management, and assuring smooth and family friendly process while maintaining high clinical standards. We have a diverse clientele which will give you great opportunities to stretch your clinical expertise using a number of evidence-based models.  You’ll be part of a dedicated team of professionals engaged in similar work, and benefit from significant collegial support.

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is required.
  • Eligibility for, or current NH Licensure as LCMHC, LICSW or LMFT is required.
  • Three years’ experience providing outpatient mental health treatment to children and families is preferred.
  • Experience in the mental health system, crisis management with children and youth, and assessment of safety is preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Child, parent, family, and group therapy
  • Clinical assessments
  • Treatment planning
  • Review all referrals for risk issues, clinical needs, and clinical appropriateness
  • Triage all referrals, prioritizing as necessary
  • Assess safety issues and make plans for safety, if indicated
  • Serve as a liaison as needed with outside agencies
