Genesis Behavioral Health

Genesis Behavioral Health (GBH) is the community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties.  We provide services to over 23 surrounding towns, and over 3,000 patients each year. A non-profit, private corporation founded in 1966, Genesis Behavioral Health is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to our mission. We provide comprehensive mental health services that promote recovery from mental illness and emotional distress to children, adults, elders and their families. We provide the highest quality of healthcare and continue to improve by having a dedicated team that provides 24/7, 7 days a week emergency services. Working in partnership with other health care providers, hospitals, law enforcement, corrections, courts, school districts, social workers and public health officials, we are able to provide a continuum of care for our clients and improve the quality of life in the Lakes Region.

We are seeking a full-time Controller in our Business Office in Laconia. The responsibilities of this position include: supervise, hire and train Accounting Staff, maintain and analyze all general ledger accounts, reconcile all bank and investment accounts, serve as a Finance Liaison for staff, preparation of the monthly Financial Statements including those for the Board of Directors, prepare external financial reporting in conformity with required specifications for various groups as warranted and scheduled, maintain the Fixed Assets System, assist with the Annual Budget, manage the Annual External Audit, and other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s in Accounting/Business, Master’s preferred.
•Minimum of six years of experience in Accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry.
•Strong Excel and Microsoft Office Skills
•Experience with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Lavender& Wyatt or similar sized fully automated accounting software
•Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
•Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and ability to take on new challenges
