Executive Director

ABLE NH

ABLE NH’s mission is to advocate for the human rights of children and adults with disabilities and promotes full participation by improving systems of supports, connecting families, inspiring communities, and influencing public policy.


Requirements:

• Qualified candidate should have at least two years experience in community organizing.
• Demonstrated passion for social justice.
• Proven ability to engage diverse communities, and cultivate relationships with and develop leaders.
• Demonstrated ability in securing funding.
• Proven ability to plan effectively and achieve multiple high priority goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in oral and written forms.
• Candidate should have completed the Gamaliel 7 day National Leadership Training, or be willing, if selected, to attend the next scheduled session.
• At least a Baccalaureate Degree in related field is preferred.
• Car for travel to meetings in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen local chapters.
• Identify and develop leaders.
• Organize local, regional, and state issue campaigns and actions.
• Raise funds via grants, dues, fundraisers, and individual and institutional donors.
• Supervise effective administrative practices.
• Engage with the Gamaliel Network and with state and national partners.
