SGA Business Analyst

Southern NH University

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a Student Government Associate Business Analyst. The SGA Business Analyst is primarily responsible for the financial management of the Student Government Association, including budget forecasting and control, accounting, purchasing, inventory control, and general business functions. They are responsible for the financial oversight of SGA projects including but not limited to SGA Vehicles, Copies Plus, Camp Synergy, SNHU Tickets, and the Last Chapter Pub. The Business Analyst provides direct support of club and organization operations including account review, and training and development of club treasurers. Responsible for the financial review of club and organization accounts on and off campus. Assist students by answering general questions related to the operation and financial management of campus organizations.


Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Manage the finances of the Student Government Association a 503c Non-Profit Organization in collaboration with SNHU. This includes budget forecasting and control, accounting, purchasing, inventory control, credit card management and general business function
  • Oversee financial components of SGA projects including SGA Vehicles, Copies Plus, Camp Synergy, SNHU Tickets and the Last Chapter Pub
  • Serve as a member of the SGA Budget and Finance Committee and the Student Activity Fee Oversight Committee
  • Provide direct and consistent support for clubs and organizations through account review, training and development of club treasurers, and financial reviews of accounts both on and off campus
  • Facilitates creation and management of SGA related accounts including credit cards and banking
  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance and weather-related care for SGA vehicles
  • Assist students regularly by answering general questions about operations and fiscal management, budgeting, and other financial matters
  • Participate in departmental initiatives and events as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting, business administration, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, institutional management, accounting, or related field
  • Thorough familiarity with accounting procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience using Quickbooks and other accounting software
  • Experience handling external audits

Work Hours:

Typically Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to meet business demands as needed.
