Reporting to and in partnership with the President & CEO, the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as Future In Sight continues to grow our education, rehabilitation, and healthcare services to babies, children, adults, and seniors who experience significant sight loss. We continue to strengthen our mission, innovate new services and continue our re-branding effort to reflect our exciting new direction. In this new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to rebuild the development function.

  • BA (required, MA (a plus)
  • 5+ years experience in development and/or fundraising for a nonprofit
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge
  • Develop and execute the Association's annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Manage Raiser's Edge and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing  
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors 
  • Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors 
  • Oversee the organization of special events
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
  • Assist social media marketing and outreach efforts

  • Uphold the mission of Future In Sight and its values as set forth in the agency's Mission and Vision statements



Regular office hours are 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Schedule may often vary due to deadlines and the general nature of the work; additional hours are required periodically.  Some travel within State required; office located in Concord, NH.
