Since the mid 1960’s, Fellowship Housing Opportunities has worked to build a community in which people with mental illness are able to manage their daily lives, be good neighbors, access resources, and find acceptance.

Fellowship Housing Opportunities is seeking a full-time Residential Counselor to work at our group home in Concord, NH. The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

As a Residential Counselor, you will provide services directly to adults with mental illness that live in the residential group home. Residential Counselors are responsible for actively engaging with the residents to help them in meeting their residential and recovery-oriented goals. This includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, supporting residents with taking their medication, helping residents manage the symptoms of their mental illness and encouraging residents to become involved with their community. This position does not require hands-on personal care.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field (psychology, social work, rehabilitation, education) or Associates degree in a human service related field with two years of experience
  • A valid NH Driver’s license, personal vehicle and auto insurance
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, problem solving skills and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in routine
  • Completion of both a criminal background and motor vehicle check
  • Assist in routine residential operations, including meal preparation and housekeeping
  • Accompany residents to appointments and meetings as needed
  • Monitor residents as they take their prescribed medication, providing reminders and guidance as needed
  • Integrate residents into the community by planning and facilitating group outings
  • Accurately document clinical interactions with residents on a daily basis
