Office Manager

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Founded in 1963, Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization providing specialized behavioral health services in central New Hampshire. Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Office Manager for our Acute Care Services department which includes Riverbend Counseling, Emergency and Mobile Crisis Services, Substance Use Disorder Services, and Adult Central Admissions. 
The ACS Office Manager is responsible for overseeing support functions & direct supervision of 7 full time and 3 part time support staff and business operations of the ACS departments with approximately 60 clinical staff delivering service to thousands of patients annually. 

  • Must be available between the hours of 8am – 8pm, Monday through Friday. Also must be available to work on Saturdays as needed. (Normal working schedule is 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday).
  • HS diploma or equivalent is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
  • 5 years’ experience in diversified office work is required
  • Three+ years of supervisory experience including hiring and training new employees preferred
  • Extensive experience with insurance carriers is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and general office productivity software as well as use of an EMR is required
  • Ability to relate well to a variety of people is required
  • Willingness to be a flexible team player is required
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative required
  • Oversee the business office operations, accounts receivable functions & business development
  • Obtain authorizations, benefit verification, and managing problem accounts
  • Provide support for daily function to support staff in each ACS department as needed to maintain productivity
  • Deliver and mentor staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Provide leadership and organizational structure to the department
