Community Bridges is a leader in the delivery of and advocacy for innovative supports to individuals who experience intellectual disabilities and their families.

Community Bridges is looking for START Resource Center Director with a strong skill set in operations. START is a systems-linkage approach to supports and is an acronym for Systemic – Therapeutic - Assessment – Respite - and Treatment .

The individuals who benefit from START have intellectual disability and mental health conditions or challenging behavior that is negatively affecting their quality of life. The underlying philosophy of START is that services will be most effective when everyone involved in supports and treatment is allowed to participate actively in treatment planning and service decisions. In order for this to occur, collaboration between service providers and with service users is needed.

This Merrimack County-based position is a full-time salaried position . It is eligible for health and dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, 403B retirement plan, flexible spending benefits, mileage reimbursement and generous earned time which includes vacation, sick time and 11 paid holidays.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related field plus 5 years of supervisory and operational experience, preferably in a residential setting is required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Candidates must have previous experience with developmental disabilities and/or mental health, including programming for individuals with significant behavioral needs and knowledge of the MH/DHHS systems.
  • A current NH license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or closely related licensure preferred or ability to acquire.

The Director is responsible for the administration and management of START Resource Center Services.

  • Providing day to day operational management, the Director will ensure that this therapeutic, short term residential program runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for the coordination of running the home, supervision of staff, and all budgeting of the program.
  • Communication to internal and external management.
