Monadnock Area Peer Support Agency

Monadnock Area Peer Support Agency is a place where anyone with lived experiences of mental illness can come, enjoy and participate in an atmosphere of mutual peer support.  We strive to utilize Intentional Peer Support (IPS) in our interactions and aim for recovery and wellness in our current life choices.  We benefit from participation in free groups, activities and events that promote recovery and wellness.

Monadnock Peer Respite is for anyone who is experiencing distress and feels they would benefit from being in a short-term, 24-hour, peer-to-peer, supported environmnet with others who have 'been there.'  We strive to provide a safe place in which each person can find the balance and support needed to turn what is so often referred to as 'crisis' into a learning and growth opportunity.  


Monadnock Area Peer Support Agency (MPS) is located in beautiful downtown Keene NH and was established in 1995.  MPS is looking to fill a Full-Time Executive Director position.  We are seeking a candidate with a college degree or its equivalent - 1 year work in the field equals 1 year of education.  Adetailed job description will be available during the interview process. 

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to facilitate the conflict resolution process
  • Effective oral and written and communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Administrative management and supervisory skills and experience
  • Ability to model and practice Intentional Peer Support (IPS) by example and instruction
  • Develop and produce RFP application for, and contract with the BMH/DHHS and attend Bidder's Conference
  • Develop, oversee, and implement the budget
  • Assess program needs and initiate quality assurance plan
  • Report monthly to the Board of Director's with necessary reports
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of all board committees
  • Attend all Board meetings and trainings as required
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Review and ensure that the organization meets all legal and contract requirements
  • Oversee program development
  • Supervise staff and volunteers
  • Oversee all financial transactions and fiduciary activities
  • Community partner involvement
  • Effective fundraising skills
